Have a flamboyant wingless bee man. Inspired by my good pal Trevor Spencer who has been drawing people in bee costumes for some odd reason lately. What is even more peculiar though, is that I had and urge to do one myself...

The semester is almost over now and then I will be going back home to good ol' Ottawa... And there I can back to doing illustrations on a regular basis.

After doing this image I realized she kind of resembled Scarlet Johanson a bit, and it reminded me of this time I did a celebrity look alike test and apparantley I look like Scarlet Johanson!

I think the likeness is UNCANNY!!! REALLY!!!

This is my baby. I've been working on this one for the past few weeks, trying to get it to look like the way I wanted it to, and thanks to the help of some friends I was able to achieve it.

For Real.

These are some paintings I did in gouache and water colour while I was staying at my grandma's place for a week near the end of the summer.

Back in high school, we did self portraits using a mirror and I always found it so difficult. So I gave it a try now with more experience from life drawing in college and whatnot and the result was much more satisfactory. The second one is my sister and her husband's (OH so belated) wedding gift and the last one was a painting I just felt like doing after looking at a bunch of Frazetta books. I actually used markers and pencil crayons on that one, but I didn't like some of it in real life so I edited some of it in Photoshop. Painting in real life feels a lot more rewarding. I want to do it more often.
